About the Route

CAMINO FRANCÉS (LEÓN TO SANTIAGO)

The Camino Francés is the most iconic route of the Camino de Santiago — a pilgrimage walked for centuries and known for its powerful sense of tradition, community, and transformation. Beginning in León, this journey carries you across northern Spain through wide-open landscapes, historic towns, and quiet rural paths, all leading to the deeply meaningful arrival in Santiago de Compostela.

This section of the Francés offers a beautiful balance of cultural richness and natural simplicity. Along the way, you’ll pass medieval villages, stone bridges, vineyard countryside, and the rolling hills of Galicia. It’s a route that invites presence — not just in what you see, but in what you begin to release and rediscover as you walk.

What makes the Camino Francés special:

- A timeless and deeply meaningful pilgrimage experience

- A strong sense of community along the route (without feeling like a “tour”)

- Historic towns, beautiful architecture, and rich Spanish culture

- The powerful, emotional arrival into Santiago de Compostela

Walking rhythm:

This retreat includes 17 walking days, averaging about 18 km (11 miles) per day. Terrain is a mix of gently rolling countryside, village paths, and occasional climbs — especially as we enter Galicia. Our pace is supportive and mindful, with luggage transfers included so you can walk with only what you need and stay fully present to the journey.

This Camino is for those who want a deeply meaningful experience — one that blends iconic pilgrimage tradition with reflection, connection, and care.

Is this retreat right for you?

Camino Yoga Retreats is designed for travelers who want more than a standard group trip. It’s a boutique, fully guided pilgrimage where the details are handled — so you can focus on walking, breathing, and experiencing the Camino in a meaningful way.

This retreat is for you if:
- You want a high-touch experience with two guides supporting you each day

- You want to walk the most iconic Camino route with care, comfort, and support

- You’re drawn to the Camino as both a physical journey and an inner one

- You appreciate thoughtfully curated accommodations (not basic albergues)

- You like the idea of mindful walking, gentle yoga, journaling, and reflection

- You want a small group experience that feels warm, supportive, and personal

- You want structure and support while still having space to process your own journey

This retreat may not be the right fit if:
- You prefer to travel independently without guides or structure

- You want a fast-paced itinerary focused on sightseeing or maximum mileage

- You’re looking for a budget-style Camino experience (public albergues, DIY logistics)

- You’re not open to group travel or shared experiences

- You’re looking for a purely athletic trip without the reflective components

If you’re looking for a Camino experience that feels supportive, elevated, and deeply meaningful, this retreat was designed for you.

This is not a standard Camino walk—

and it’s not designed to be.

Camino Yoga Retreats is a boutique experience led by two dedicated guides (Laura and Sarah), blending mindful walking, gentle yoga, and guided reflection. If you’re looking for a deeply meaningful, fully guided pilgrimage with care and connection, this journey is for you.
