11. State Privacy Rights
In addition to the rights described elsewhere in this Policy, residents of certain U.S. states—including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and Texas—may have additional rights regarding their personal information under applicable state privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), and Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA). These rights may include the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, opt out of certain uses or disclosures, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. To exercise your rights, please contact us at info@caminoyogaretreats.com. Upon receiving your inquiry, we will verify whether Camino Yoga Retreats is subject to any such state laws and take appropriate action to honor your legal rights as required by law. Regardless, we will always honor requests to delete your personal information to the extent it is within our control, but doing so may terminate your access to our Services, and by agreeing to do so we are not admitting to the applicability of any such state data privacy laws to our Services.

12. International Users and GDPR/UK GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other regions with data rights: We process personal data based on your consent, to perform a contract (e.g., retreat registration), for our legitimate interests (e.g., site security, service improvement, and limited marketing), or to comply with legal obligations. Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. We take steps designed to protect your data consistent with this Policy and applicable law. You may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise rights, contact info@caminoyogaretreats.com. We will verify and respond consistent with applicable law.

13. Communications and Advertising
We may send you transactional messages (e.g., receipts, updates, account notices, requests for information) necessary and incidental to your retreat, as well as Camino Yoga Retreats marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time. We do not allow third-party advertising on our website. We may run our own ads on social platforms (e.g., Meta) to promote Camino Yoga Retreats offerings, but we do not sell your data to those platforms.

14.  Dispute Resolution, Choice of Law, Venue, Time Limits, and Waiver of Class Actions

This Privacy Policy, and any claim, dispute, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy, your use of our website or services, or our collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information (each, a “Dispute”), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

  1. Mandatory Good-Faith Resolution Period. Before commencing any lawsuit, the party asserting the Dispute shall provide the other party with written notice describing the nature of the Dispute. The parties shall then use good-faith efforts to resolve the Dispute for a period of thirty (30) days following receipt of the notice. Participation in this thirty (30) day resolution period is a condition precedent to filing suit.
  2. Small Claims Matters. To the fullest extent permitted by law, if a Dispute falls within the jurisdictional limits of the small claims session of the District Court in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, such Dispute shall be brought exclusively in that small claims session. Each party irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of that court and waives any objection based on improper venue.
  3. All Other Matters. Any Dispute that does not fall within the small claims jurisdictional limit shall be brought, to the extent allowable by law, exclusively in the state courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts sitting in Plymouth County. You and Camino Yoga Retreats agree not to commence any such Dispute in any federal court, and each party irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state courts located in Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
  4. Time Limit to Initiate Claims. YOU AND CAMINO YOGA RETREATS AGREE THAT ANY AND ALL DISPUTES MUST BE COMMENCED IN THE APPROPRIATE FORUM, AS DESIGNATED HEREIN, WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE DATE THE CLAIM AROSE. ANY DISPUTE OR CLAIM FOR WHICH A LEGAL ACTION IS NOT COMMENCED WITHIN THIS ONE-YEAR PERIOD SHALL BE DEEMED WAIVED AND FOREVER BARRED. This provision shall not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable Massachusetts law.
  5. Waiver of Class and Representative Actions. YOU AND CAMINO YOGA RETREATS AGREE THAT ANY AND ALL DISPUTES MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE PARTIES’ INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, OR OTHER SIMILAR PROCEEDING. YOU EXPLICITLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY SUCH ACTION.

15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a new Effective Date. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
