The Camino Francés is one of the most well-known routes to Santiago—shaped by history, landscape, and long-held tradition. Beginning in León, this journey carries you through northern Spain across open countryside, historic villages, and quiet rural paths, all leading to Santiago de Compostela.
Along the way, the experience unfolds gradually. Vineyard-covered hills, stone villages, and changing landscapes create a rhythm that invites presence—not just in what you see, but in how you begin to feel as you walk.
What makes the Camino Francés special:
– A deeply rooted Camino experience shaped by tradition
– A strong sense of connection along the path
– Historic towns, architecture, and Spanish culture
– The meaningful arrival into Santiago de Compostela
Walking rhythm:
This retreat includes 17 walking days, averaging about 18 km (11 miles) per day. Terrain includes rolling countryside, village paths, and occasional climbs as we enter Galicia. With luggage transfers included, you’ll walk with only what you need and stay present to the journey.
This Camino is for those seeking a meaningful, supported experience—one that blends tradition with space to reflect and reconnect.
Arrival & Departure
Arrival
We recommend flying into Asturias Airport (OVD). From there, we provide a group transfer to León, where our journey begins.
If traveling internationally, many guests connect through Madrid (MAD) before continuing on to Asturias.
Departure
Our journey concludes in Santiago de Compostela. On departure day, we provide a group transfer from our hotel to Santiago Airport (SCQ).

The final 100 kilometers of the Camino Francés offer a meaningful introduction to pilgrimage while preserving the rich tradition, connection, and sense of accomplishment that make the Camino so special. Beginning in the lively Galician town of Sarria, this journey winds through forests, farmland, and centuries-old villages before culminating in Santiago de Compostela.
While shorter in distance, this route provides ample opportunity to settle into the rhythm of walking, connect with fellow pilgrims, and experience the simplicity that has drawn people to the Camino for centuries.
